Barbismoked Vegetable Fried Rice

Ingredients


Method

  • Finely mince or crush the smoked garlic
  • Chop the brocolli into bite size florets
  • Heat oil in large frying pan
  • Gently fry the garlic for about 30 seconds on a low heat  – do not burn – and push to one side of the pan
  • Add the egg (away from the garlic) and as it cooks break it up into stringy pieces, then stir in the garlic.
  • Add the Brocolli florets then stir fry with the egg and garlic mix for about 1 minute – being mindful of net letting the garlic burn, so keep the mixture moving. Add Star Anise pieces
  • Add the Rice and continue to stir fry until hot all the way thru – about 2-3 minutes.
  • Add salt and pepper to taste and lemon zest.
  • Stir fry for another minute so flavours absorb.
  • Serve with your favourite curry or with saucy ribs, BBQ food, chillis, fish dishes…..
